Wooden Doors
We do not use machine made items, like you can purchase from large chains or DIY stores. We focus on craftsmanship and detail to ensure your investment is the right one. We strictly offer 2 types of wood. Pine and Oak. Solid wood doors are made from a single piece of wood or several pieces of the same variety of wood. These are then glued together with particular joints to create a large, sturdy door leaf. You can choose from over a hundred different colors or varnish options.
One of the biggest benefits of our wooden windows and doors is how great they look. The traditional style can provide much more curb appeal to your home than other materials. As a natural and extremely versatile building material, wooden doors come in a far wider range of designs than their uPVC or metal counterparts.
Wood retains fantastic insulation properties, and with minimal maintenance, can improve your home’s thermal efficiency. The properties of the material mean that warmth is kept in, and noise is kept out more so than with most other types of doors.
Timber is a sustainable resource.
Did you know that timber has a reverse carbon footprint? It stores more carbon and releases oxygen. In addition to this timber products tend to last a lot longer, since timber is a natural product, it doesn’t take a lot of energy or cause a lot of environmental impacts to turn into useable building materials.
So, when you install a set of timber windows and doors you can do so in the knowledge that you are doing your part for the environment. Here at upvcmaster.fr we take this issue seriously and that’s why all our timber frames are sourced from environmentally sustainable sources.
